Workers’ Compensation Injuries

Florida Spine Care and Pain Center is a full service physical medicine and rehabilitation clinic that is capable of performing initial comprehensive consultative evaluations, limited physical therapy modalities and patient specific stretching and strengthening for injured workers. We also perform nerve conduction studies to assist in clarifying a complex clinical picture for the workers’ compensation insurance carriers.

Physiatrists (physical medicine & rehabilitation doctors) are board certified experts that are the cost effective answer to the non-operative injuries sustained by the injured worker that require treatment. Furthermore:

  1. Physiatrists are uniquely qualified to perform comprehensive history and physical examinations required for the injured worker.
  2. Physiatrists are skilled at ordering and supervising patient specific treatment.
  3. Physiatrists are experts at assessing job restrictions to limit further injury and prolonged disability.
  4. Physiatrists are trained in residency to perform diagnostic NCV/EMG, therapeutic trigger point injections, facet blocks, epidurals, ablations, and many more treatments to facilitate conservative or aggressive pain relief.

Areas of treatment include but are not limited to the: neck, low back, knee, ankle, shoulder, and wrist injuries. As a physiatrist himself, Dr. Bao T. FSCPC will work closely with your adjustor, nurse case manager and or employer to ensure proper authorization is obtained and utilized to the best interest of the injured worker.
